Licensing
So, what does all that mean for you, our client? It means that you can be secure in the knowledge that we are insured, law-abiding, of excellent character, and are of the calibre you deserve!
The City of Edinburgh Council are quite happy to accept our licence fees, but they don't seem to be quite as pro-active in enforcing the regulations as some councils are.
Just below is a flyer which was issued by the Scottish Licensed Window Cleaners Network in conjunction with Fife Council. It outlines some of the reasons why you should only use a licensed window cleaner. . .
ANYONE working as a window cleaner in Edinburgh must be licensed and have their licence with them at all times while working. It's the law. End of story.
Every window cleaner at Dalzell Window Cleaning Service is licensed to carry out window cleaning by the City of Edinburgh Council. To achieve this, a copy of our Public Liability and Employer’s Liability insurance is lodged with the licensing section, and we have to undergo police checks.
Only once the council have given us their approval, and the police have satisfied themselves as to our honesty and good-standing, are we each presented with our licence to trade.
